The Beautiful Art of Julie Fordham

Colourful Personalities #3

The art of Julie Fordham is stunning. Her paintings and art journals bear her heart to the world.
Using strong, layered colours and a collage effect she creates eye catching prints.
Julie's art projects attract and help so many people.

For the past few years she has nurtured her campaign, Love Yourself For Art. Artists from all over the world create small pieces of art and send them to Julie. Julie then reaches out to people suffering and sends them the little bit of joy. It may seem like a small gesture, but the gesture itself means a lot to those who need it.
As a previous contributor of art to the project, I have witnessed more than one person who appreciates the thought and sentiment.

Give her some love, she deserves it for all the goodness she does with her art;

Colourful Personalities

Artists that explode with creativity.

Creativity is something that is constantly moving. Artist that creating masterpieces that move off the canvas are the most valuable. These types of artists not only have an unbelievable technical talent but they themselves are the canvas. They tend to ooze a edge of coolness that cannot be artificially created.
True personality and art should always intertwine.

#ONE

Charmaine Olivia

The muses of Charmaine

Charmaine Olivia is a 24 year old self taught artist living in San Francisco. She mainly paints the female form; altering from self portraits, to portraits of friends, to those of famous women.

Her personality intertwines with her oil paints and muses. Comparing her early paintings with her more recent ones you can see a clear evolution in her art and life. Her art has become more colourful and she is more willing to experiment with movement and the flowing form.

She emerges her lifestyle in art itself. Pictures of her studio give a glimpse of the beautiful clutter of space filled with colour and quirky nick-knacks.

One of the most important aspects of her art is how she engages with her audience. In a world of easily downloaded pictures she makes her fans want to own a piece of her art. She is active on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr and her own website. Charmaine has understood the need to be an artist in full view, to brand her image and art together. This leads to a strong fan base which is evident with the amount of positive comments on every photo posted across different social networks.

There is also a lot of fans with
tattoos of her art, which to her credit she fully supports. There is no complaint of copyright infringements, merely pride in her fans. Pride that they love her art so much they get it inked onto their body. The highest complement. Definitely an artist who shall be around for a long time.
